Associate Dean for Research, Graduate Studies, and Centers
Daniel J. Myers was named Associate Dean for Research, Graduate Studies, and Centers in 2008. He also serves as a professor in the Department of Sociology, where his research interests include social movements, collective violence, racial conflict, formal models of collective action, urban poverty, and the diffusion of social behavior. He is currently studying structural conditions, diffusion patterns, and media coverage related to U.S. racial rioting in the 1960s in a project funded by the National Science Foundation.
