Marcia Lausen, professor of graphic design at the University of Illinois at Chicago and principal at Studio/lab.
Lausen will address how design affects the voting process -from voter registration to following instructions at the polling place. Design for Democracy builds on the lessons of 2000 by presenting innovative steps for redesigning elections in the service of citizens.
