"La guerre comme a la guerre: Patterns of Armed Conflict, Humanitarian Law Responses, and New Challenges" lecture by Luc Reydams, Political Science, University of Notre Dame.

Reydams has earned degrees in law and in political and administrative sciences from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and the Universite Catholique de Louvain.  He practiced law for a number of years in Brussels before pursuing an LL.M. and J.S.D at the Center for Civil and Human Rights (Notre Dame Law School).

Reydams has published Universal Jurisdiction: International and Municipal Legal Perspectives  with Oxford University Press (2003). His articles and comments have appeared in the American Journal of International Law, Criminal Law Forum, Journal of International Criminal Justice, Revue Quebecoise de Droit International, Annuaire de Droit Africain, European Journal of Crime, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice, and in other journals and books.

He has held fellowships from the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (Germany) and the University of Notre Dame Kellogg Institute.  He worked as an intern with the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda.
