From Our Faculty and Students
The University of Notre Dame offers a wealth of opportunities to nourish the life of the spirit as well as the mind.
Campus Ministry encourages and directs religious life on campus, fostering spiritual growth through worship and prayer, reflection and service, and education and faith formation.
The Notre Dame Vocation Initiative creates opportunities to discover the theological meaning and personal significance of vocation, calling us to a life-long response of faith.
"In Uganda, as in much of sub-Saharan Africa, one's faith typically permeates every aspect of life. Such can't be said about the U.S. or Europe, particularly in the academy. Yet, Notre Dame proves an exception, and it is this exceptional nature that has both formed us and now compels us to go forward." Michael Rossman, Class of 2007 Valedictorian, Theology and Economics
A rich liturgical life flourishes at Notre Dame, where Masses are celebrated six or more times a week in many residence halls and in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart, as well as in various academic buildings around campus, notably the Chapel of Mary, Seat of Wisdom, in Malloy Hall, the philosophy-theology building.
